Hello Readers,
I hope that you are all doing well. I am alright. I’m in a constant state of not knowing the date or the day but I’m pretty good beyond that. Trying to get some new books read but I end up rereading a few books. I guess it is a comfort thing. It is funny how you sometimes need to do that. I hope to start a new book tomorrow. We shall see.
I wonder how your reading is going. Some people are plowing through books while others can’t seem to read anything. For those of you that are reading, I hope that the books help you escape and/or bring you joy. For those of you that aren’t, I hope you find that book that brings the reading back.
Happy Reading.

Are You Sleeping? by Kathleen Barber
Admission by Julie Buxbaum
A Witch in Time by Constance Sayers

The New Husband by D.J. Palmer
Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

Social Isolation TBRs
Hello Readers,
In this time of chaos and uncertainty, we can find some comfort in reading. I love that reading can be an amazing escape, especially at times like this. I am working on putting together a "Social Isolation TBR". A lot of the things in my life have been put on hold so there is plenty of time to read. It is time to make a list!
1. I want to knock out at least four ARCs.
2. I am currently rereading The Hunger Games Trilogy as a buddy read.
3. I may throw a "comfort" book in there...or maybe two.
4. I want to read at least one book that takes me out of my comfort zone.
5. I want to read a classic.
As for titles, I am not sure yet but I hope to have a list compiled soon. I will share it once it is completed. Is it weird that I am excited about this? The TBR...not the sickness spreading. Currently wondering what may end up on the list. So many options.
I wonder what everyone else has put on their lists.
Happy Reading
and planning.

Be Safe.
Hello Readers.
What a crazy time we are currently experiencing! The Coronavirus seems to have hit everywhere. People are working from home. Schools are closing. Grocery stores are being left with empty shelves. I am wondering if I am going to find the groceries we need for the week tomorrow. It is absolute chaos.
One thing that people I talk to have said is that they are saddened by so many libraries closing for x amount of a time. It is understandable to be upset about it. Try to get to your local library before they close. Online books should still be available. Many libraries have increased the amount of items that can be checked out at a time and are waiving late fees. That is pretty great.
Be safe. Wash your hands. Avoid crowds if you can. If you get a chance, work on your TBR list. Stuck at home for a few weeks? Seems like the perfect time to read! I’m going to be at home until at least April 6th. Time to get some reading done.
I hope that you are all well. We can get through this!

Authors Are People Too.
This post was posted on Instagram less than five hours ago. I find myself wondering how often this will be happening since the Coronavirus is spreading as it is. Travel is making many uneasy. This includes authors. I saw some people respond to the above post in a negative manner. Yes, it really stinks if you have made arrangements to see an author and they postpone their tour but they are human also. They have the right to worry about travel possibly exposing them and their people. They may postpone or cancel dates. This does not mean that they do not care about readers. They are being proactive in taking care of themselves and their families and/or staff. Please keep this in mind.
The new book mentioned in the post above comes out March 3rd, 2020. I already have my copy preordered. It looks really good.
May your weekend be filled with fantastic books.
