I was contacted about joining this blog tour and thought that this book would be quite interesting. I had not heard about the book prior to that. I read the summary and was intrigued. I am always open to learning more about the lives of others.

This book. It had me. My heart hurt when reading it. I found myself in tears more than once. What a story! 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a truly good read. I do not want to give anything away but it hit me in the feels hard. I will be looking into getting more memoirs like this. Recommend.

Hello Readers.

I read the description of this book and requested to read it. It looked like something that I could really sink my reading teeth into. I had to read it. As stated above, it is a standalone but does pull from the previous book so reading the other book prior to this one would greatly benefit the reader. 

I was very thankful for the trigger warning. Even when warned, I found some scenes to be quite upsetting and I was overcome with emotion and had to step away from the book for a little bit. Do not let this make you think that I did not enjoy the book because I quite enjoyed it. I just had to step away for a bit and breathe. This did not detract from the book. 

The novel was well written with strong characterizations. Some of the characters I hated initially but they grew on me. Interactions were believable. Definite chemistry. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a really good book. I wish that I had read the previous work prior to it so I could have gotten the full experience. Worth looking into. Recommend.

I was sent a copy of this book to read and review. I have not read many MC romances prior to this one. I have many sitting on my kindle but I have not read them yet. I am intrigued with the genre but have not embraced it. Perhaps that will change.

Three Strikes started out slow but picked up. I did not like all the characters at first but some of them grew on me. The plot was interesting and kept me invested. It was well written and showed real chemistry between characters.

I am rating this book Four Red Books because of all the things mentioned above. It was a good read. I enjoyed it but the slow build distracted me at times. Recommend.

I love rockstar romances. Yes, I realize that I am repeating myself.  I cannot help it. They are one of my favorite genres. I was sent a copy of this book to review and was excited about it. "Rockstar Romance"...I am there. This book is the second in the series but can act as a standalone.

This is the first time that I have read anything by this author. I did not know what to expect but the trigger warning given let me know that it may be a difficult read. I am glad that was present. This was an intense book. It was beautifully written with complex characters. With that said, it was a true emotional roller coaster. It was hard to read at times and I had to put it down and come back later more than once. It was definitely worth it. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a really good read. I am interested in reading the other books in this series. I will also be looking into other works by the author. People should definitely take note of the trigger warning prior to reading it. Recommend.

I was sent an ARC of this book to read and review. It is a standalone but I went ahead and purchased the prequel and the first in the series just so I could truly appreciate this one. I am very glad that I did. It greatly helped with the beginning of this book and allowed for an easy transition. I love books that have to do with the arts and entertainment work so I was optimistic about this series. 

Let me start by pointing out that the author used to be a professional dancer. I love this fact. Her knowledge blends beautifully with the story that she is conveying. Her insight adds so many layers and elements that may have gone overlooked or just plain excluded. Flows well. Full of emotion.

I am rating this novel Four Red Books because it was a good read. I do not feel that it was a standalone and that there may be some confusion if the reader does not read the two previous works. There were some strong moments but the flow was not consistent. Overall, it was a good book and I would recommend.

I was sent a copy of this book and it looked like something that I could truly enjoy. Some books are sent to me and I am hesitant about them. This was not one of them. I love a romantic mystery. I have never read anything by the author prior to this book.

I read the first sentence and knew that this book had promise. It had my attention and I wanted to see if the author had follow through. Beautifully written. Strong character and likable characters. I could see myself grabbing a coffee with some of them. The story flowed wonderfully.

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a really good read. I enjoyed reading it and will be reading more by the author. I definitely will be looking for more in this series. Solid recommendation.

Hello Readers.

I was sent a copy of this book to read for my part in a blog tour. I love rockstar romances. It is a fantastic troupe. I have never read any of the author's work so I was excited to be given this one to check out. 

Let me preface this once again, I have not read any of the other books in this series. I am not as invested as other people who have read them. I know this. I was not sure what I was getting into with this book so bear with me. 

I started the book and was kinda shocked at how it started. I am no prude but wow. To say that this book is sexy is an understatement. Do not read this around other people unless you like blushing around others. There is a darkness to this book that put me on edge. Violence. Sadistic behavior. Cruel moments. Soul crushing moments. Then walls were broken and there was beauty in it. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was well written and showed true characters in difficult situations. Even though it is a standalone, I do feel that it may be better to read the other books first. Maybe this book would have hit me differently if I had. Recommend if you like darker saucy rockstar romances.

I read The God Game for a buddy read with some of my closest friends. I was sent a copy of it and this was the perfect opportunity to read it. What a book! This one was nothing like I thought it would be. I was drawn into it and could not wait to see what happened next. I have said it before but that truly is a rare thing for me. I read a lot of books and only a small percentage of them grab my full attention. This one did just that. Creepy at moments. Intense. Left me wanting more. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because I was torn on how to rate it. This would be one of those that I would rate with half books if I had that system. It was not quite a Five but it was more than a Four. I have purchased the other book by this author and look forward to reading it. Recommend.

I was sent this recently and I read it just in time to review it for the release day. Original concept. A wonderful approach. Solid characters. Full of intrigue and drama. Plenty of steam. Not to be read around other people if you blush easily.

I came across this book not long ago when perusing the options on Kindle Unlimited. For those of you that are not familiar with Kindle Unlimited, it is a subscription service where you pay a fee every month to have access to thousands of kindle books.  I love it. I have been introduced to a number of fantastic authors through Kindle Unlimited. I have "checked out" so many books that I might not have come in contact with otherwise. Wrapping up this Kindle Unlimited advertisement now. Back to this review.

Virtually Perfect was a fun debut. It captivated my attention and I found myself rooting for the main character. Some of the characters made me actually cringe. That was not for poor writing but rather excellent writing. The characters were so similar to some that I have encountered that I wanted them to immediately fail. I admit that I can be salty at times. It happens. This book was a great look at how "the other half lives" and that money does not necessarily imply intelligence. Fantastic imagery. I pictured the layout of locations and people with ease. When food was described, I would sometimes start daydreaming about it and wondering how difficult it might be to create. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because I truly enjoyed reading it. There were some points that did not flow as well as other points and that is really my only reason for deducting a book. At the time of this review, the author has one other book out and I will be reading it soon. Definitely someone to watch. Recommend.

Kasie West is an author that pretty much fell into my lap. I picked one of her books when I had a gift card because I thought it might be a fun read. I knew absolutely nothing about her or her work but I thought I would give the book a shot. I absolutely loved the book and moved on to other ones by the author.

The premise for P.S. I Like You was so great. I was one that would finish assignments and assessments early so I would be sitting there, bored out of my mind. Some teachers allowed us to read when we were done and I was golden in those classes. Some teachers did not allow us to do anything but wait and I ended up with a lot of time on my hands. I used this time to write on the back of the paper or on my desk. I often wrote song lyrics. You can see why this book called to me, right?

The characters were relatable. I would have been friends with some of them in high school. They were fun and approachable. I like the complexity of some. People are usually not one dimensional and this book encompassed. The characters grew and developed beautifully. I cannot stand to read a book with stagnant characters. This story was truly refreshing. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because some of the mystery component was fairly easy to guess. I figured it out early on but I wanted to see how it was executed. The author did a wonderful job with tying the story together. It was a very enjoyable read. Definitely recommend.

I read this book a while back and thought that I had already reviewed it. It was sitting there in my drafts folder. Whoops. I guess that I got distracted and did not finish it. That happens sometimes. Life.

I bought this book after reading about it. I had read dystopian books and had liked many of them so I thought I would give this one a read. If I summed this book up with one word, it would be "Wow". I am not sure I was prepared for it. There were moments where I was genuinely uncomfortable. In fact, the next book that I read, I read out loud...just to speak.

The characters were well written. The way that they interacted did not feel forced when there were times where they could have been. The situations were terrifying. The ending felt setup for another book so the readers may be waiting for a sequel.

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a good book but the ending did not quite have the flow of the rest of it. I read it one afternoon with no breaks so that you should tell you something. Parts of it still haunt me. Recommend.

I bought this book as a treat for myself. I read the synopsis and had to read it. I had never read a book by Gilly Macmillan but was quite interested. It felt like a book that I would really enjoy.

This book was everything that I was wanting. Intriguing, complex, deep, and with strong characters. It was intoxicating in a way. I hated to stop reading to sleep. I had questions and I wanted answers. That is a sign of a well written mystery. I was hanging on every word.

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a great read. It is getting four books instead of five because there were some parts that were a little wordy and some parts that I guessed early on. Definitely worth a read. Fantastic.

I saw the cover for this book and I was intrigued. It pulled me in and demanded my attention. There are some truly terrible covers out there so it is refreshing to find those that are appealing. I saw this one and wondered "Mysterious Man, who are you? Are you lying or is someone else?" I ordered the book and pretty much attacked it the moment that I took it out of the box. What can I say? I know what interests me. 

I had heard good things about Kylie Scott's writing but had not read any of her work prior to this one. The control that she exhibits is lovely. Some of the characters are relatable and endearing. Some of the characters made me want to push them out a high rise window. With that said, all the characters were written well. The premise of the story was pretty solid. There were times that I did have to stop and think about what I had just read but it flowed well.  

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was an enjoyable read. The overall feel of it was a good one and that is pretty special. I will be looking into the other works by the author based on my experience with this book. Recommend.

This book was one that I bought because the premise spoke to me. I thought it would be a fun read. Some books are like that. I buy them knowing that they will most likely just be fun to read. Life is often too serious and it is nice to escape into a fun book. 

I would like to say that this book stayed fun but there were moments where I became so frustated with some of the characters that I wanted to throw the book. So much for the book staying "fun". This was a book where I wanted to reach into it and throttle a person or two. The author created characters that were similar to ones that you may encounter in real life. They were flawed. They were complex. They were real. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because I truly enjoyed reading it. I didn't want to put it down once I started it. I will be on the lookout for future works by this author. Recommend.

I found this book when I was looking for "a book with red on the cover" for a game of book bingo and I thought, "Oh! This looks good." I read it in one day. I would have probably read it in one setting if I had not had to be productive. 

I was very impressed with the fact that this is a debut novel. The author created very relatable characters. Some of the situations had me nodding my head in agreement because I related so deeply. The story flowed with ease. There were multiple times where I found myself laughing out loud. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books. It was fun to read. At the time of this review, the author has one more book and I have put it on my TBR. Recommend.

When I first saw information on this book, I had to read it. I added it to my TBR and preordered it immediately. It looked like something that I would love. It dropped onto my Kindle and I could not wait to read it.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were relatable and I found myself wanting to know what happened to them. In fact, one character was perfect book boyfriend material. I could have read another book on just him.

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a very enjoyable read. There were moments that felt rushed but it was a great book overall. I look forward to seeing what this author does in the future. Definitely recommend.

I was sent a copy of this book and was intrigued. The premise looked promising and I was optimistic. I have a special place in my heart for books if this nature. Who doesn't love a good mystery? I certainly do but I am often disappointed because I tend to figure them out early on. This one surprised me. That is not an easy thing to do. The characters were fantastic. Complex and intriguing. I found myself wanting to know more about them. 

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a wonderful read. There were some moments where I saw what was coming but was surprised overall. I would definitely read more by this author and highly recommend.

Fairy tales are a part of our history. They are passed down from generation to generation. Morals and lessons wrapped up in details and scenarios. They stand the test of time and are present in almost every culture. This particular fairy tale, Cinderella has been linked to civilations as early as around 7 BC. It is one of the most loved and has thousands of retellings. I was excited to read this take on it.

I read the blurb on this book and had to buy it immediately. I love a good fairy tale. Add in the nerd culture element and I was all over this. This was beautifully written and captivated my interest. I found myself annoyed when I had to put it down to return to real life. Some of the characters had many dimensions. They developed and grew. Others stayed exactly the same the entire book. There were times where I went off on characters because I was so wrapped up in the story that I felt they had wronged me personally. This book continued in my head anytime I had to step away from it. I love when a book does that!

I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was a wonderful read but there were times where it lagged and times where it felt rushed. I look forward to reading more books in this series. Would definitely recommend.

There are some books that I pick up and cannot put down. Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum was one of those books. I was looking for something to read that I could relate to. I am a sucker for the underdog story. Girl comes to a new school and everything in her life has been turned upside down. She wants to fit in yet truly doesn't. She does her own dance in life. This makes it difficult for her to make friends. It also makes her a target.

There will always be those girls that go out of their way to cause other girls issues. They pick apart every thing different about them and try to belittle them at every turn. Poor Jessie. Nothing she does seems to be right. She needs an escape. She needs a friend. Enter a mysterious person determined to encourage her.

I cannot begin to explain how much I enjoyed this book. The characters are wonderfully written and we all know people like them. The overall writing was very good and flowed well. I am rating this book Four Red Books because it was predictable at times. That being said, I would definitely recommend it and will be reading more of the author's work.
