Description: Nothing in Hollywood stays a secret for long, and there's plenty of film that could destroy everything she's worked for.

Nora Chase is a good girl. Her carefully cultivated public persona is under lock and key – the price to keep it that way has been steep. Minding her image at every turn is a small price to pay to continue her reign as the sweetheart of the small screen. Unfortunately for Nora, her emotions pay no attention to the moratorium she's put on relationships where Maxwell, an acquaintance through mutual friends, is involved.

Maxwell Caine is an entertainment attorney at the top of his game at one of the biggest firms in town. He's just not sure that law is where he's actually meant to be. Temptation to overhaul everything he knows walks into his conference room one day, and her name is Nora. Falling for her may be the final push he needs to leave the law behind and chase his own dreams. He can tell she's hiding something big, however, and she won't let him get close enough to help her.

Maxwell's steadfast presence gives Nora comfort she didn't know she was seeking and isn't sure she deserves. Nora is everything Maxwell didn't know he was looking for. They're a perfect match – but can he stand by her when her past is exposed?

Image Protector is a standalone contemporary Hollywood romance. If you like red hot chemistry, a guaranteed Happily Ever After and a dash of suspense then you'll love this steamy beach read!

Hello Readers.

I was sent a copy of this to read and review. It looked promising. I have not read the other book in the series so I was a little worried that it may impact my ability to enjoy this one. It worked well as a standalone. Suspense. Intrigue. Beautiful people. Realistic. Puppy. Yes please.

This book was well written. The characters were more complex than I initially thought they would be. That was a nice surprise. Steamy. You may want to be mindful of your surroundings when reading it.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was a great read. Addictive and fun. I did not want it to end. I will be going back and reading the book before it. Highly recommend.

Hello Readers.

I had already read and reviewed the first book of this duology.  I absolutely jumped at the chance to read and review this one. The first one pulled me in and did not let me go. I had to know what happened.

Once again, I was completely taken by this story. I know that I am not supposed to fall for the villain but sometimes, it cannot be helped. What a book! I finished it and just smiled. There may be something wrong with me.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because I absolutely loved it. Intense and Insane. WOW! I am definitely looking into the other works of the author. Highly recommend.

Hello Readers.

I love novellas. They are perfect for when you do not want to take on a lengthy book but you want to read. I read about this series and requested this arc. It was exactly what I was looking for.

The premise of this novella was perfect. The characters were excellent. The chemistry was like a powder keg. I loved it!

I am rating this novella Five Blue Books because I could not love this novella more. I cannot wait for the rest of the series. I will be looking into the other work by the author. Highly recommend.

Hello Readers.

Why in the world have I never read anything by this author prior to this book? People recommended books to me and I purchased some for my Kindle but have not read any of them yet. This book was brought to my attention and I decided to read and review it. Seemed like the perfect book to introduce me to the author's work.

I was right. This book was absolutely incredible. The first few pages demanded that I put down all other books and focus on this one. As someone that reads three to seven books at a time, that is really something.

The characters were intense. The scenarios left me on the edge of my seat. There were some moments that took my breath. WOW.  Just wow!

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because I will be reading every single thing linked to this author now. This book took over my thoughts when I was not reading it. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Alice's life has always been ordinary. But when her new job comes complete with strange noises, creepy legends, a sexy amateur magician, and an enticingly wicked ghost, all that changes.

Julian Strande may have died a century ago, but that doesn’t stop him from taking a keen interest in the new caretaker of his estate. It’s been such a long time since he’s had anyone to play with. And he plans to have a great deal of fun with Alice. That is, if he doesn’t decide to kill her first…

_____
Author’s Note:
This book is what I would call “villain romance.” This story is for anyone who always finds the villain more interesting than the hero. That said, they are therefore sometimes not the nicest of male heroes. This story has a HEA, but it may be a tough ride getting there. This story has mature themes and content.

Hello Readers.

I read the blurb on this one and had to read it. I often find the villain to be more interesting than the hero so the concept of "villain romance" appeals to me. I love it when I encounter books like this one. It is nice to be reminded that I am not alone in that interest.

This book grabbed me and did not let go. The writing was fantastic. The characters were complex and beautifully written. The chemistry is perfection. Steamy moments that made me pray that people not look at me.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was an awesome read. I have a new book boyfriend after this read. I will be looking into all the books by this author. Highly recommend.

My best friend Sophie was gorgeous, at times uptight and desperate.

Her biological clock was ticking and after yet another failed relationship she pulled me aside.

"Listen Chase, you know I adore you and you know I need you. Historically, you always come through for me." She swallowed hard while I listened. "It's no secret that I want a baby, the semi old fashioned way."

I nodded not really believing what I was hearing.

"I want you to do it."

"You want my swimmers?"

"Yes, through natural injection."

Sex with my best friend. The best friend I had once upon a time wanted in a bad way.

"Don't worry, I've got this covered," I assured her. She looked relieved and maybe even a little excited.

Seven Days, Six nights, and lots of sex. What more could I want?

Oh right. A way to turn this into forever so I could raise my child too.

Hello Readers.

I was sent a copy of this book to read and review. My exposure to this author's work is very limited. This is the fourth book in the series so I was not sure if I needed to read the others beforehand. I am happy to report that reading the others was not necessary to enjoy this one.

This book grabbed my attention. The chemistry of the characters is amazing. The scenarios were well written. I giggled at some points. The overall flow of this story was fantastic. Read in one setting.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was an absolute delight to read. I will be reading the other books in the series and looking into any other work's that the author may have. If you want a fun feel good romance, this one is for you. Highly recommend.

Format: ARC and Kindle

Description:The Prince and the Pauper gets a modern makeover in this adorable, witty, and heartwarming young adult novel set in the Geekerella universe by national bestselling author Ashley Poston.

Imogen Lovelace is an ordinary fangirl on an impossible mission: save her favorite character, Princess Amara, from being killed off from her favorite franchise, Starfield. The problem is, Jessica Stone—the actress who plays Princess Amara—wants nothing more than to leave the intense scrutiny of the fandom behind. If this year's ExcelsiCon isn't her last, she'll consider her career derailed.

When a case of mistaken identity throws look-a-likes Imogen and Jess together, they quickly become enemies. But when the script for the Starfield sequel leaks, and all signs point to Jess, she and Imogen must trade places to find the person responsible. That's easier said than done when the girls step into each other's shoes and discover new romantic possibilities, as well as the other side of intense fandom. As these "princesses" race to find the script-leaker, they must rescue themselves from their own expectations, and redefine what it means to live happily ever after.

Hello Readers.

I thought that I had reviewed this book on here before. I double checked and was surprised to discover that I had failed to do so. I started it but never finished it. This review is long overdue.

Don't let the delay in review make you think that I did not like this book. I loved this book. This series is so fun and I, not so patiently, await each book. The flow is fantastic. The characters are people that I would be friends with or dislike. Let's be honest here, some characters are just rude and I would not like them one bit in real life. Other ones would probably become lifelong friends. The scenarios are well played out. The book makes you feel as though you are at ExcelsiCon.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was fantastic. Such a great sequel to Geekerella. It was wonderful to visit some old friends and make new ones. Highly recommend.

I loved the characters. It is not often that I use that word when describing characters. The first chapter grabbed me and I read the entire book in less than a day. This is not something that I can do very often because of distractions and having to sleep. I did not want to leave this book.
I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was wonderful. I wanted to take a trip to Eastlyn. It feels like my kind of place. I will be reading every book in this series and looking into the other works by the author. Highly Recommend.

Hello Readers.

I was sent a copy of this novella to read and review. Needless to say, I was pretty happy about it. I loved the prior installment to The Dating Series and definitely wanted more. This is the second installment in the series.

The characters were just wonderful. They had depth. It is quite the accomplish to create such in-depth characters and a solid story line and the authors have once again achieved this. Sexy and fun. Flawed and perfectly adorable. A win in my book.

I am rating this novella Five Blue Books because the authors have done it again. It was an absolute joy to read. I would love to know what happened to the characters. Perhaps another novella or book for them. *Hint Hint* Highly recommend.

Hello Readers.

I am sitting here trying to figure out where to start. This book was sent to me to read and review. It looked promising and I was excited to read it. I was not prepared at all.

This book was truly wonderful. Beautifully written. Enticing characters. I could see myself befriending some of these people. The chemistry was outstanding. That is a very big deal. Some books have characters with no chemistry or lukewarm chemistry. This book actually makes me think that the author has experienced real chemistry. In fact, I have a new book boyfriend now.

Hello Readers.

This book was gifted to me from one of my best friends. She read an ARC of it and sent me a copy of it the day it released. I finally got to read it this week and I am so glad that I did. I got really into the story and even would send my friend messages about what I was reading. I was all in.

I was pulled deeply into this book the first scene and plowed through it in less than a day. I started it one evening and finished it the next afternoon. I am sure that I would have read it faster but I had to person a little. The characters were wonderfully flawed. Driven by emotions, their actions left me in shock at times. A true roller coaster. I laughed. I cried. I wanted blood.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was an incredible book and I absolutely loved it. I will be reading all the other work by the author. I will definitely be watching for new releases. Highly recommend.

Description: Where do you see yourself in five years?

When Type-A Manhattan lawyer Dannie Cohan is asked this question at the most important interview of her career, she has a meticulously crafted answer at the ready. Later, after nailing her interview and accepting her boyfriend's marriage proposal, Dannie goes to sleep knowing she is right on track to achieve her five-year plan.

But when she wakes up, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man. The television news is on in the background, and she can just make out the scrolling date. It’s the same night—December 15—but 2025, five years in the future.

After a very intense, shocking hour, Dannie wakes again, at the brink of midnight, back in 2020. She can’t shake what has happened. It certainly felt much more than merely a dream, but she isn’t the kind of person who believes in visions. That nonsense is only charming coming from free-spirited types, like her lifelong best friend, Bella. Determined to ignore the odd experience, she files it away in the back of her mind.

That is, until four-and-a-half years later, when by chance Dannie meets the very same man from her long-ago vision.

Brimming with joy and heartbreak, In Five Years is an unforgettable love story that reminds us of the power of loyalty, friendship, and the unpredictable nature of destiny.

Hello Readers.

I had preordered this book on kindle months ago and then forgot about it. That happens some times. So many books come out that I forget some of the publication dates. My memory is good but it is not perfect so some books fall through the cracks. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my Kindle and there was this book, waiting to be read. I moved this one up my TBR and then finished what I was reading. This one called to me. I had to read it as soon as I could.

I was not disappointed. From the first chapter to the very last word, this book had me. I was invested. I forfeited sleep for this book. I knew that I could be friends Dannie. I wanted to see her succeed at life. There were moments that I wanted to shake her but I wanted her to come out on top.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was a wonderful read. It grabbed my heart and would not let go. I would love for a follow up book because I have to know what happens next. I even told friends about this book before I was done reading it. I sent some of them copies of it. Yes, I loved it that much. I will be looking into the author's other work. Highly recommend.

Hearts get infiltrated.

Hello Readers.

Anyone that truly knows me knows that I have great love for Colleen Hoover's work. This book was the first one that I read. I have a friend that we joke about being a "Coho Pusher" because she always manages to slip a reference in conversations. She talked about them constantly and kept recommending them to me. To be honest, I was determined not to read any of these books because of stubbornness. I am that way at times. Moving on...

As I mentioned, this book was the first one of her work that I read and it set the bar very high. From page one, I was invested. I wanted to know everything that I could know about the characters. They were complex and so much like people I know. Writing truly relatable characters is not an easy task. Hoover not only pulled it off but made the reader want to adopt them. These characters left the pages and went with me throughout my days. I wondered how they would respond to situations that I encountered. To say that I was impressed is an understatement.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it fueled a passion. It made me want to read every book that the author had written and I now preorder new books as soon as they are announced. There are only a handful of authors that have that power over me. Colleen Hoover has become one of them and I will always think of my experience with this extraordinary book when I think of her.  Highly recommend.

Hello Readers.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I was not sure what to expect. I definitely did not expect the intense moments or the passionate ones. I knew that they might be present but I was not expecting them to be so well done. Smooth transitions. Complex characters.

Hello Readers,

Before I start this review, I realize that I do not usually review anthologies so I am going to review this as a whole, not each short story individually. I heard about this book from Heidi McLaughlin. I knew that she had mentioned a short story involving some characters from her Beaumont Series so I had to read it. I was given the opportunity and I was delighted.

This is a great anthology. Solid stories that pull the reader in and captivate the mind. Sexy interactions that may cause a flush. It was a fun read. I enjoyed every story that I read.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books. It was truly a wonderful way to be introduced to new authors. The format allowed for quick reads and that is always welcome. I will be looking into the authors and their work. Highly recommend.

Description: Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars.

Now, he’s sure he’ll be the first person to die there.

After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive—and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive.

Chances are, though, he won’t have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plain-old “human error” are much more likely to kill him first.

But Mark isn’t ready to give up yet. Drawing on his ingenuity, his engineering skills — and a relentless, dogged refusal to quit — he steadfastly confronts one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after the next. Will his resourcefulness be enough to overcome the impossible odds against him?

Hello Readers.

I was given this book. I glanced at it and then put it up to read later. When the movie released in 2015, I remembered that I owned the book and decided to read it. I am honestly annoyed with myself for waiting so long. This book is worth all the hype that surrounded it.

I was captivated by this book from the very first page. It just grabbed me and I plowed through it in one afternoon. I loved the format. I loved the characters. It flowed so wonderfully. I totally understood the love surrounding this book.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it is incredible. It has become one of my favorites and I have reread it more than once. I have read the author's other works but this one still piques my interest. I honestly could recommend this book every single day if given the opportunity. If you have not read it, do so. It is well worth the read.

Hello Readers.

This book was recommended to me by a friend. She as absolutely raving about it. Our tastes are very similar so I knew that I had to read it. She knows me very well so this recommendation was right on the mark.

Perfection. Yes, I said "Perfection". This book was extraordinary. Amazing characters and scenarios. I was not reading the book. I was in the book. I love when a book takes over the reader's mind in that manner.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it was incredible. I was heartbroken when I looked into the author and saw that this is the only thing that they have written so far. I would love to read any future offerings. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Description: Imagine that your husband has two other wives.

You’ve never met the other wives. None of you know each other, and because of this unconventional arrangement, you can see your husband only one day a week. But you love him so much you don’t care. Or at least that’s what you’ve told yourself.

But one day, while you’re doing laundry, you find a scrap of paper in his pocket—an appointment reminder for a woman named Hannah, and you just know it’s another of the wives.

You thought you were fine with your arrangement, but you can’t help yourself: you track her down, and, under false pretenses, you strike up a friendship. Hannah has no idea who you really are. Then, Hannah starts showing up to your coffee dates with telltale bruises, and you realize she’s being abused by her husband. Who, of course, is also your husband. But you’ve never known him to be violent, ever.

Who exactly is your husband, and how far would you go to find the truth? Would you risk your own life?

And who is his mysterious third wife?

Hello Readers.

"What in the world did I just read?" I frequently asked myself this as I read The Wives. This is the second book by Tarryn Fisher that I have read. The first one was Never Never that she co-wrote with Colleen Hoover. I was not sure if I would like her writing style. There was a lot of talk about this one. Those of you that have been around a while know how I feel about hyped up books. I usually shy away from them. An ARC of this book was delivered to my house. This meant, hype or not, I was going to read it.

Where do I begin with this one? Complex characters. Some likeable and some were not. The reader is thrown curve balls throughout the story. There were multiple times that I stopped and thought, "Whoa...what?" It kept me guessing. I love that. I do not care for books that I can guess within the first few chapters. I like books that keep me wondering what is about to happen. This one was great for that.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because it kept me on my toes. It was a roller coaster read and I loved it. I will be looking more into the author's body of work. Highly recommend.

Description: Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares. How could a group of survivors, mostly teenagers, commit such terrible acts?

Presented as a fact-finding investigation and a series of first-person interviews, FantasticLand pieces together the grisly series of events. Park policy was that the mostly college-aged employees surrender their electronic devices to preserve the authenticity of the FantasticLand experience. Cut off from the world and left on their own, the teenagers soon form rival tribes who viciously compete for food, medicine, social dominance, and even human flesh. This new social network divides the ravaged dreamland into territories ruled by the Pirates, the ShopGirls, the Freaks, and the Mole People. If meticulously curated online personas can replace private identities, what takes over when those constructs are lost?

FantasticLand is a modern take on Lord of the Flies meets Battle Royale that probes the consequences of a social civilization built online.

Hello Readers.

I encountered this book in an online book group chat. A member wanted to read it and I was intrigued so we did a buddy read. With my love of both Lord of the Flies and Battle Royale, the premise interested me. I had to see the author's approach on such a macabre concept.

Wow. Yes, you read that right. My response to this story is "Wow." I could not stop reading this book once I started it. It pulled me in and refused to let me go. It haunted my thoughts when I wasn't reading it. There were moments that I am not sure I will ever forget.

The author's mastery of the story is impressive. The format might throw some people but the flow of the story is so captivating that I completely forgot about it. Rich, complex characters. Perfect examples of mob mentality and overall herd logic. This is a powerful book.

I am rating this book Five Blue Books because I read it months ago and it has stayed with me. I purchased the other book by this author and hope to read it in the nexrt month or so because I have to know if it is even half the book that Fantasticland is. A reread may also be in order soon. Highly recommend.
